Arlo's Life

Don't get me wrong, tortoises make great pets, but with great pets, comes great responsibilities! My specific tortoise (The Greek Tortoise) is a particularly small tortoise reaching only 22 cm as an adult (if he's a girl) and only 18 if he's a boy. For the sake of my blog (and youtube channel) I call him a he because I don't like to use the term "it". Anyway, with a tortoise so inquisative, he needs a rather large iving area to roam and live in! We take pride in our Diy Tortoise Table built especially for our lovely tort. He loves to be handled and to munch on leaves but he can be quite a lazy tortoise sometimes! But you can't blame him after eating and exploring all day!

Before you purchase your very own tortoise, there are a lot of things that you need to consider. Do you have the space, time and money? Tortoises may not cost that much later on but starting off is quite a large expense. Bare in mind if you get a large tortoise, £100 for the tortoise may cost thousands in the future when and if it needs an outdoor (heated) enclosure to roam in.
